With over 4000 journalists and informational professionals using RAPID Browser in more than 40 media organisations, it has become necessary to establish the users' group, allowing users real input on how RAPID Browser is developed to serve their needs. The KnowledgeView users' group will feature an online site on and at least one users' get-together per year.
The successful informal users' group meeting, held in Abu Dhabi in June 2007, and attended by leading users of RAPID Browser and RAPID Archive, recommended the establishment of the users' group.KnowledgeView and Picsel cooperate to bring mobile news to the Middle East
KnowledgeView Ltd. and Picsel Technologies, a dynamic mobile platform provider, signed a partnership to enable media companies to distribute rich media news stories directly to mobile.
The two companies will integrate KnowledgeView’s RAPID Browser software with Picsel’s Mobile Content Solution. The combined product will enable journalists and editors using KnowledgeView’s technology to read, share and publish news stories via branded mobile channels.

Al Syjjyl Newspaper: First Arab weekly to use RAPID Browser in a hosted environment
KnowledgeView and Jordanian software company ProSys have installed RAPID browser software for Al Syjjyl Newspaper which is now considered the first weekly Jordanian newspaper to use such a software in a hosted environment in the Arab world.
The hosted software, RAPID Browser, will maximize the return on the capital investment for Al Syjjyl by providing accurate and reliable management information and reducing operation costs. The weekly newspaper will not need a server to acquire news feeds from all over the news agencies.
KnowledgeView and Ifra to provide Newsplex training workshops in the Middle East
KnowledgeView and Ifra have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in providing Ifra Newsplex training workshops in the Middle East region.
The two entities will jointly host these events, while KnowledgeView will manage and market them.

Okaz is the leading newspaper publisher in Saudi Arabia. The publishing and archiving system from KnowledgeView is a central component of Okaz board’s plan to modernize its entire operations. The system will be used by the Arabic language daily Okaz, the English language daily Saudi Gazette and other publications.

6th International Newsroom Summit in Paris heralds new publishing trend
More than 220 media groups took part in Ifra’s 6th International Newsroom Summit, for which KnowledgeView was one of the key sponsors.
Participants at the summit, held on 19-20 April in Paris, listened to speakers from major media companies that have embarked on the path of convergent Newsroom as a way of increasing interaction with new kinds of information consumer at the age of the Internet and generating new revenues. Participants entered into lively discussions on best ways of managing this major change in the methods of work, investment needed, returns on investment and conditions for success.
